Family and belonging
Where is home? Who gets to feel rooted? And how do you make decisions when your families, friendships and expectations are spread across countries?
International & intercultural couples
Love can cross borders. Everyday life has to find its way across them too.
When you're living expat life, the differences between you can feel bigger than they used to. Therapy offers a place to understand them without either of you having to leave yourself behind.

Living abroad, loving together
Maybe one of you moved for the other's career. Maybe neither of you has family nearby. You're building careers, friendships and a home, often in a language that isn't your own.
And somewhere along the way, you're having the same argument about where to live, whose family to visit, who carries the planning or what being a good partner should look like.
It's not always about culture. But living expat life can make ordinary relationship struggles feel surprisingly lonely.
Therapy isn't about deciding whose way is right. It's about making room for both histories, while creating something that belongs to the two of you.
What we explore
No two international couples experience life abroad the same way. These are some of the places where differences can become distance.
Where is home? Who gets to feel rooted? And how do you make decisions when your families, friendships and expectations are spread across countries?
One person speaks directly. The other protects the peace. You may be trying to show love in ways that aren't being recognised.
Relocation, work, parenting and everyday logistics can quietly turn you from partners into managers of a very complicated life.
My approach
I'm Francesca, a systemic couples therapist working with international, expat and mixed-culture couples across Europe.
We look at the patterns underneath the argument, the histories each of you brings, and the ways you try to protect yourselves when connection feels difficult.
I'm not a silent observer. I work actively with you, bringing warmth, honest reflections and practical ways to change what happens between you.
