The Couples RoomRelationships beyond borders

Areas of focus

Different backgrounds.
Different minds.
One relationship worth understanding.

Because the way you love, communicate and connect is shaped by more than one story.

Every couple has its own way of finding each other and losing each other. Sometimes it's about culture, sometimes about how your minds work, and sometimes it's an old pattern neither of you knows how to stop.

Where relationships get complicated

Love doesn't happen in a vacuum.

There's the life you've built together. And then there's everything you've brought into it: family expectations, the feeling of being far from home, different nervous systems, and the ways you learned to protect yourselves long before you met.

We don't have to make you the same to help you feel closer.

What brings couples here

Three ways into the work.

These aren't separate boxes you have to fit into. Often, they're all part of the same story.

01

International & intercultural couples

“We come from different worlds. How do we build one together?”

Expat life can be exciting and lonely, sometimes at the same time. Different languages, family expectations, parenting values and experiences of belonging can leave you feeling like you're building the same life from two different maps.

We explore what matters to each of you and how to create a shared sense of home, without asking either partner to lose where they come from.

02

ADHD & autism in relationships

“We finally understand our differences. Why does it still feel so hard?”

A diagnosis may help you make sense of years of misunderstanding. But mental load, sensory needs, emotional regulation and unequal responsibilities don't resolve themselves overnight.

Here, both experiences matter. We look at the attachment and relational impact of neurodivergence, alongside practical ways of living together that respect both partners.

03

Relationship patterns & repair

“We love each other. We just keep ending up in the same place.”

Maybe one of you reaches for closeness while the other pulls away. Or the same conversation ends with hurt, silence or keeping score. Over time, it becomes harder to remember what being a team felt like.

We slow down the cycle, make room for what's underneath it, and practise the kind of repair that helps you find each other again.

Trauma-informed. LGBTQ+ affirming. ADHD and autism informed.

My approach

No one is the problem.
Both people matter.

Therapy isn't about deciding who is right. I work actively with both partners to understand what keeps happening, take responsibility for what needs to change, and build something more honest and workable together.
